ETHEL Y.M. (PANG) YOUNG Ethel, 89, died on May 1, 2011 in San Francisco after a brief illness and surrounded by family. She was born on June 8, 1921 in Honolulu to Hoon Chong and Emma Kam Lin Pang. She is the oldest daughter of 8 children and survived by two sisters. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond D.C. Young. She is survived by one son, three daughters, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She left all her family in Hawaii, following her husband to own and operate New Fair Market in San Francisco. She and her husband were the corner stone on which the children were able to succeed. The Funeral Service on May 22, 2011, Sunday at 10:00am with visitation from 9:00-9:45am at the Borthwick Mortuary, 1330 Maunakea St. A private burial will be at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery. WILLIAM "BILL" LUM KOW WONG

WILLIAM "BILL" LUM KOW WONG William "Bill" Lum Kow Wong, 91, of Honolulu, passed away on April 27, 2011 at Kuakini Medical Center. Born on July 24, 1919, in In Shan Kee , Chung Shun, China, he immigrated to Honolulu on July 24, 1936. He attended McKinley High School and Mun Lun Chinese School. Bill worked in various positions for the Federal government for more than 34 years, and retired as a Teller from the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in 1976. He was also a retired real estate agent and a seasonal worker at H & R Block. He was active in the Chinese Community and was President of Kwang Tung Community Association, Chung Shan Association, Chee Kung Tong, Wong Kong Har Tong, Hoo Cho Sha Society, Mun Lun School Alumni Association and the Chinese Labor Association. He was also a member of the Gook Doo Society, Kuo Ming Tang Society, Ket On Society and United Chinese Society. He is survived by son Wymond W.M. (Sandra); daughter Sheri Ann (David) Lee; grandchildren Corrie Wong, Caitlyn Wong, Shanda Lee and Brennan Lee; sisters, Low Yee of In Shan Kee, China and Lau Tim of Hong Kong. He was preceded in death by wife, Sally Sun Wong. Services will be held on May 24, 2011, at Diamond Head Memorial Park. Visitation at 10:00am. Service at 11:00am. Inurnment at 2:15pm at Nuuanu Memorial Park. The family requests no flowers.
