HELEN MOEHAULANI DULCIE KAPAHUA YOUNG Age 79 Died on May 07, 2011 at home Helen was born in Hilo on September 5, 1931. After graduating from Hilo High School in 1949, she moved to Oahu to pursue a career. While working in Honolulu she met and married Henry S.M. Young. She enjoyed her career as a cafeteria cook for the DOE and retired from Kalihi-Uka Elementary School. Helen loved cooking meals for family and friends and she was also very skilled at gardening and crocheting. In her retirement years she took great pleasure in caring for her beloved and ever expanding menagerie of dogs and cats. She was a generous mother and grandmother – she will be genuinely missed by her 'ohana and her "family of friends." Hali'a aloha. Survived by: Son – Patrick A. Young (Kathie Reis); Daughter – Patricia A.
