JUSTIN PHILLIP BUKUNT Born March 27, 1983 in Newton, MA; passed away at the young age of 28 on April 28, 2011 in Honolulu, HI. Raised in Boston, Jakarta (Indonesia) and Singapore. Upon graduation from Singapore American School in 2001, he attended University of Hawaii at Manoa and graduated in May 2006 with a BS in Global Environmental Sciences. He was employed by Parsons Corporation as an Environmental Scientist until his passing. Justin is survived by his parents Peter and Nancy Bukunt, brother Brandon, grandparents Paul and Audrey Hand, Uncle Paul and Aunt Susan, cousin Garrett, Uncle Duane, and best friend Mike Brown. Justin will be missed by many; but the established surfers of Kaisers know that the k-bowl will never be the same without him; thanks to the Kaisers Ohana. Justin avidly pursued all things outdoor; fishing, hiking, skydiving, and more, with surfing topping the list. More recently he added home remodeling to his interests. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Justin's memory to the Nature Conservancy of Hawaii (808-537-4508) to honor Justin's passion for a sustainable environment, or The UH Foundation (808-956-8849). An informal memorial will take place Saturday, May 14th, at 7am at Kaisers.

TONY M. CANLAS Tony M. Canlas of Waialae Kahala died April 14, 2012 in Bend, Oregon at the age of 90. Born in Manila, arrived in San Francisco at age 2. A graduate from Sacred Heart College of S.F., he joined the Navy & a World War II veteran. He worked at the Federal Ammunition Dept. & retired as a Quality Assurance Supervisor. Tony was awarded a Commendation from the Dept. of Navy for 10 years of supervision of outstanding accomplishment in the prevention of lost time-accident saving of lives & property. Joined the Hawaiian Memorial Park & in 1985 was the top salesman of Hawaii. He cruised for 4 months around the world & traveled extensively. Since 2002 they got a second home in Houston, TX, he spent half of the year during the Holidays & back to Honolulu after Spring. His Ballroom Western Dancing friends in Houston will miss him. He was always loved by all who know him. Tony is survived by his wife Angeline Romero Canlas of 44 years, their daughter, Wreachelle C. Nantes; son-in-law, Edwin Nantes from Hartsdale, New York; nephew, Allan & Beth de Leon of Mililani. Burial 11 am Friday at Hawaii State Veteran's Cemetery, Kaneohe.

April 29, 2011 William J. "Willy" Tonguet Jr., 56, of Pahoa, Hawaii, formerly of Anchorage, Alaska, and Sacramento, Calif., a Hewlett-Packard retiree, died at home. He was born in San Francisco. He is survived by wife Shari Olander, stepson Ivan Molesky, brother James and sister Shelly Gorman. Private services.
