EILEEN CONE MILEO

EILEEN CONE MILEO Mrs. Mileo, age 84, died on Monday, May 2, 2011. Eileen was born on June 21, 1926, in Brooklyn, New York. She married Tony Mileo on January 6, 1946 and they spent 57 years of marriage together gardening, playing bridge, playing tennis and supporting each other in every way until Tony's death in February 26, 2002. Eileen became a teacher in the late 1950s, earning a Masters Degree in Reading Education from William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. She worked for many years in the Englewood, NJ school system, finishing her teaching career as a teacher of English as a second language to foreign students in the district. After retirement Eileen and Tony moved to San Diego, CA, wintering in Honolulu, HI, and then following Tony's death Eileen lived full time in Honolulu until she moved to Charlotte in 2008 to live with her loving daughter and son-in-law Lauren and Michael O'Sullivan. Eileen is survived by Lauren and Michael, and by her grandchildren Allison Mileo Gorsuch of New Haven, CT, Sarah Anne O'Sullivan of East Hanover, NJ, Marina Mileo Gorsuch of Durham, NC and Daniel Ryan O'Sullivan of Charlotte, NC. In addition to her spouse, Eileen was preceded in death by her daughter Janice Mileo, her sister Phyllis Karlson and her brother Robert Cone. The family will hold a private service.

SHICHIRO MORIGUCHI Shichiro "Mori" Moriguchi, age 93, a retired chemist who owned and operated Laboratory Services and Products, passed away on April 16th, 2011, at Kuakini Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu, Hawai'i on January 22, 1918, and was preceded in death by his parents, Eitaro and Michi Moriguchi, six brothers, Taro, Jay, Samuel, Edward, Goro, and Rokuro, and one sister, Viola Fukie Ching. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 68 years, Genevieve Obara Moriguchi; son David(Sharyn) of Vancouver, Washington; step-grandson Steven(Jill) Eymann and step-great-grandchildren Melanie and Andrea Eymann, all of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada; and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks go out to Rosalina and Edgar Balmilero and Jennilind and Junior Aggasid for their kind and loving foster home care for both Mori and Genevieve over the years; to cousin Judy Young for bringing her late mother, Genevieve Wakayama, over for visits to the Moriguchis; and especially to beloved niece Carol Lau, for all the years of wonderful care during which she has patiently managed all the health and financial affairs of her uncle and aunt.
