JEROME RICHARD O'BRIEN Jerome "Jerry Sam" O'Brien of Kailua passed away on 29 May 2011; he was 81. Born 30 Sep 1929 in St Mary's, Ohio, he grew up in Dayton. He lived in Redlands and Monterey, California before coming to Hawaii in 1966. A union bricklayer for over 50 years, he worked on the Ala Moana Center, the State Capitol building, Honolulu International Airport and many other notable structures on Oahu. He was a member of St. Anthony's Church in Kailua, and the Hawaii Masons Union, Local #1. He is survived by wife Meredith, son Brian (Cheryle), grandsons Scott and Shad, and sisters Mary Fortunato and Theresa Crowe. Services will be held Thursday, June 2 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, in Kailua. Visitation at 9:00 a.m., with funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1-800-457-6676.
